Attention: NEW PROPERTY OWNERS in TOWN OF SUNDRE Due to a backlog at the Alberta Land Titles office the Land transfer information required to update our tax roll system may not be current. If you have purchased your property in Sundre in the past four months and you have not yet received our 2022 Property Tax and Assessment Notice issued on April 28th 2022, please contact our Town Office promptly to request a copy of the notice be forwarded to you. It is the responsibility of property owners to notify us and request a copy of annual tax information that should be shown on our Tax records but is awaiting registration at Alberta Land Titles. We will require proof of ownership in one of the following forms: - A letter from the lawyer notifying our municipality of change in ownership or, - Statement of Adjustments on a legal document with names and land location Late Penalty charges will be applicable regardless of the delay at Land Titles or our Office awaiting new owners’ information. Our Tax Penalty Bylaw requires a 6% late penalty charge on July 1st as well as October 1st if taxes are still owing on those dates.
