Master Regional Parks, Recreation and Culture Planning

The New Mountain View Regional Parks, Recreation and Culture Master Plan

Planning is underway, together with the communities of Sundre, Olds, Mountain View County, Didsbury, Cremona and Carstairs, to develop a regional parks, recreation and culture master plan. These municipal partners are working together with Expedition Management Consulting to develop the plan, which will help provide guidance on making decisions that best meet the needs of our residents. Facilities and programming related to parks, recreation and culture will be the main focus of the plan.
The project is scheduled to be completed in November 2021.

We encourage you to join us to discuss the Draft Master Plan through any of the following public engagement digital sessions that will be held on Sept. 22nd, 23rd, 28th, and 29th through remote video/teleconference. The sessions will begin with a brief presentation describing the Draft Master Plan, followed by a facilitated discussion to collect feedback from participants. Participants will be provided with a copy of the presentation to download in advance of the session so they can follow along if they do not have video capabilities or wish to participate via telephone. Please note that the same material will be covered at each session, so there is no need to attend multiple sessions.
