Central Alberta Economic Resilience Taskforce

In response to potential economic disruptions stemming from proposed tariffs on Canadian goods and services by the United States and China—Canada’s two largest trading partners—chaired by the Town of Sundre, a coalition of eleven Central Alberta municipalities has formed the Central Alberta Economic Resilience Taskforce (CAERT). This initiative aims to:

  • Encourage import replacement in favour of domestically produced goods and a diversification of trading partners.
  • Advocate for economically favourable conditions and trade agreements
  • Collect data to inform strategies that enhance regional economic resilience

Economic Resilience Survey

We invite you to take part in a brief 10-minute survey. Your responses will help us better understand current economic conditions in the region and identify emerging challenges. With your input, CAERT can advocate more effectively on behalf of Central Alberta—providing a unified voice at the regional, provincial, and national levels.
