The Corporate Services Department is comprised of four distinct areas: Human Resources, Finance, Information Technology and Town Office Administration.
Human Resources provides support to 27 staff, 7 Councillors, 34 Volunteer Fire Fighters and various contractors. Support provided entails a full range of Human Resources services including Recruitment and Selection, Position Orientation, Performance Management, Training and Development, Employee Recognition, Leave Management and Staff Retention, Pension and Benefits Administration, Payroll Administration and Payroll and Pension Services to the Sundre Library. A function of this area is to support management and employees in meeting operational demands and achieving their strategic goals.
Finance is responsible for the management of the financial affairs of the municipality. This encompasses General Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Taxes and Assessment, Utility Billing and Administration, Fixed Asset Management and Grant Administration. General Accounting incorporates providing financial consultation, overseeing revenue and expense streams, managing cash flow, developing and managing the 20-year capital plan and operating budgets, developing financial policies and bylaws and creating financial reports and consolidated financial statements.
Information Technology entails managing outsourced consultants that provide computer and telephone technology and support to four different Town locations.
Town Office Administration includes front desk reception, records management, general office administration, preparing Town communications, service agreement and lease agreement management and office safety and security.
