The Town of Sundre requires all businesses that are operating, working, providing or selling a product or service within or partially within the town corporate boundaries to possess a valid Sundre business licence as established in Municipal Business Licensing Bylaw 05.12.
A Business Licence is required to show that your business is conforming to all the legal steps needed to operate a business. It is issued every year. To be issued your very first business licence as an in-town business, you will need to show that you have received your relevant Development Permit from the Planning and Development department.
All businesses include all types and durations: seasonal (e.g. 1 day, 1 week, 4 months), home based, storefront and all non-resident businesses doing any kind of work in Sundre (including all out-of-town businesses serving residents and/or businesses in Sundre via mobile operations such as work vehicles, food trucks, etc.).
Exceptions
Certain professional services only (eg. Lawyers, Medical Professions, and some members of trade or professional associations, etc.) are exempt by provincial or federal law from the requirement for a business licence. It is your responsibility to determine if you fall under one of these categories. A licence will not be issued until any applicable development or building permits or public health inspection approvals are in place.

When signing up for a Business Licence you will also have the choice to join our online Business Directory providing your business with FREE advertising.
