You’re going to do Sundre, and you only have one night?

If you're short on time and want to get a taste of Sundre in just two enjoyable days, this itinerary offers a fun mix of some of Sundre's top sights and things to do.

Here we go!

Arrive at 12pm: Go Golfing at one of Alberta's elite golf courses, the Sundre Golf Club.

3pm: Check in at Tall Timbers Leisure Park for a night of camping nestled among the trees of the boreal forest.

4pm: Check out the Sundre Pioneer Village Museum and World of Wildlife to learn about our culture and explore the West Country's rich pioneer history.

5:30pm: Return to Tall Timbers, go for a swim at Tall Timbers' indoor pool, or perhaps get a game of bocce ball in before heading out for dinner.  Alternatively, walk around town and along some of our many walking paths along the Bearberry Creek or Red Deer River.

7pm: Go for dinner at one of Sundre's restaurants. Perhaps some Greek or Italian?

9pm: Finish dinner, and end the night with a few drinks at one of Sundre's pubs... remember not to drink and drive though.
7:30am: Wake up and prepare for a day of rafting.

9am: Go to Mukwah Rafting Tours location to be prepped for your adventure on the Red Deer River, in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. While you're at the shop, take a look at the pottery they have for sale too. Get your Wet-Suit rental ready and go over safety basics.

9:45am: Leave for your rafting adventure

1pm: Have lunch on the shores of the Red Deer River with your river guide, and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature.

5pm: Complete your rafting trip, arrive back at the shop.

6pm: Have a quick bite to eat before heading to the Arts Centre for a performance as part of the Sundre Music Series.
