Sundre Greenwood Campground

Located on the west bank of the Red Deer River, two blocks south of the 4-way stop, the Town of Sundre owns and operates Greenwood Campground. The campground is well-treed and separated from the town by a grassed berm, but is still within easy walking distance of all shops and services.

Facilities in the 31-site campground include: 1 full-service site, 18 powered sites, and 12 un-serviced sites, all with picnic tables, fire pits, and firewood at $5 / wheelbarrow. There is a washhouse with toilets and hot showers, tap water available throughout, a sani-station, playground, cookhouse with stove, and a day-use area.

The campground is open for the May long weekend and usually closes following the September long weekend. Camp hosts reside in the campground during the season and fill the sites on a drop-in and reservation system.
